Join our development team of 20 engineers in strong collaboration with our 4 testers. Your main responsibility will be to make our practice in agile working more complete. We are looking for an Agile Coach / Scrum Master who finds fulfillment in contributing to the Agile expertise within GeriMedica. Are you that person? 

We need your help in improving our organization to remain agile in a way that fits best our development teams and our organization. We believe that this is the only way to make our organization future-proof. 

You'll help our development teams function optimally. You already have experience with Agile transformations and at the same time, you understand the world of traditional project management. Your talent shines in an agile environment: you know how to keep the organization on track, increase the ownership and innovative power of our teams, and make continuous improvements to make agile working a success.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Coaching the team in the Agile way-of-working;
• Designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile.
• Together with our Engineering Manager helping each development team to become and remain a team by finding shared values ​​and making work agreements;
• Facilitating the well-known Scrum events;
• Helping the Product Owner prioritize the backlog;
• Encouraging the team and the Product Owner to develop backlog items into concrete activities;
• Removing obstacles and helping the team maintain focus;
• Arranging everything for the development team to perform optimally;
• Keep track of team metrics and help keep track of the sprint goal

Before you make your mind up, what do you know about us, our business, and the way we do things differently?

GeriMedica was founded in 2007 as a spin-off from the VU medical center and backed by three large care centers. We believe that good care for vulnerable people and the chronically ill is essential to our society. Our Electronic Medical Record (EMR), called Ysis, is tailor-made for medical professionals in long-term-care. 80+ Healthcare organizations in the Netherlands currently use Ysis, and it integrates with more than 35 external applications.

You have the knowledge, skills, and tools to allow Scrum teams to function optimally. You also have the following:

• Possessing prior experience coaching teams in Agile adoption or as a Scrum Master; at least 3 years;
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of and background with Agile concepts
• You feel comfortable with the structures and the various roles within both traditional as well as agile environments;
• Versatility in using and applying proper tooling (e.g. Jira, …);
• Well-developed communication skills;
• Having programming experience; 
• Having some tech background or coursework in Computer Science; SCRUM certification

Last but not least, you work hard and make it happen. You're creative, excited, and eager to be challenged and to challenge conventional ideas. You think lean, pragmatic, and outside corporate processes. In addition, thanks to good communication skills you can clearly bring across ideas and information.
