Our Teams
Development
Gerimedica is evolving fast, we currently have 5 development teams. Our teams work on 2 main projects: Ysis EPD and Ysis ECD.
Three (3) of our teams are working on Ysis EPD. They work e.g. on authentication, authorisations and financial applications, but also on integration of Ysis with different partners and on the interoperability with some country-wide standards for key organizations.
The last two (2) teams are working on a new ECD, a product just released in production that is focusing on non-medical care for geriatric and mentally disabled patients.
Front-end Developers (Angular)
All developers work full stack, which means that while you will have more experience in front-end development, you will also have the opportunity to explore back-end functionalities as well in Java 17 and Spring boot. In order to provide a clean and simple front-end and its supporting functionality, you’ll be collaborating with our UX/UI designers so that the best possible solutions are implemented. You will work in an agile scrum-based environment, with a Product Owner, UI/UX designer, a Scrum Master and a team of excellent developers.
Full-stack Developers (Java & Spring)
A team of highly skilled full stack developers, all with different skill sets and expertise (front-end and back-end). They are responsible for highlighting and implementing solutions based upon business requirements provided by industry leaders. They create high quality, well designed, maintainable and efficient code. Our developers work in an agile scrum-based environment, with a product owner, architect, scrum master and a team of excellent developers.
Design (UI/UX)
Our Designers work closely with multiple agile teams, collaborating with the different product owners to solve UX challenges and with our front-end engineers defining and scaling UI elements across all our solutions. They are responsible for leading a human centric design process, balancing the user and the business needs with the aim to improve the overall user experience and evolve our solutions. We currently have two designers working closely with our teams.
Quality Assurance Engineers (Playwright)
Our QA Engineers work with a team of highly skilled developers and within a testing team of other experienced testers. Our software is used for patient care thus quality testing is a high priority at Gerimedica. They focus on two main aspects: improving our test automation system ànd providing manual testing support for newly developed functionality. They are responsible for functional, regression and automation testing to make sure we proactively identify and resolve issues, and they help to maintain QA documentation and tooling, build product test strategies, write and execute plans with schedules and dependencies.
System Administrators
We currently have a team of two system administrators, who are our internal service team. They are responsible for onboarding and offboarding of new team members (i.e. from taking care that the needed hardware is in house when the new colleague joins, providing access and accounts for all the needed framework including our internal VPN, and supporting during the onboarding for all the questions that might arise). They also support the whole office for internal requests: network, printers, laptops, wifi, fix computers issues (hardware and software), maintain the office network, and prepare and maintain office equipment, computers, services for meeting rooms and conferences (video and audio systems, big touch screens, projectors, TVs, and etc.).
Product Owner
Our Product Owners (one PO per team) are part of the development team, they are the voice of the end user and ensure that their vision is known and followed by other important stakeholders. Their stakeholder management is therefore very important, both internally and towards the healthcare employees who work with Ysis. They are responsible for the roadmap in which we would like to see how we can add value in both the short and long term. With their knowledge they are able to understand the needs and pain points of users (organisations) like no other!
Scrum Master
We currently have two Scrum Masters who work with our five development teams. Their main responsibility is making our development teams adopt the rules of Scrum and other useful techniques, in a way that best fits their current needs. They do so by facilitating scrum events, coaching the teams and organisation in the agile way of working and scrum practices, and by ensuring that the teams are healthy, productive, and motivated.

Research and Development (R&D)
As the name suggests, our R&D team not only develops but also researches possible solutions. As an R&D Engineer or Data Scientist in the R&D department you are very interested in the latest developments and newest technologies in the online world. You will be working together in a small team of like-minded people in close cooperation with the Head of R&D. You will be in frequent contact with our existing development teams.

HR
Human Resources and Talent Acquisition
Our HR team is a small team of four motivated people that work hand in hand to support the teams and its members and create an optimal working environment for Gerimedica. Belinda (HR Manager) and Maria (HR Assistant) are focusing on HR best practices and activities, and Marieta (Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist) and Vanessa (Talent Acquisition Specialist) on recruitment activities and talent acquisition projects.

Support
Our service desk and help desk teams are small and close-knit. Their team culture is best described as free, open, social and based on trust. They are happy to help our customers, and because of the required product knowledge, they all have our own focus area; based on this knowledge we distribute the questions. Together with the helpdesk team, we are always looking for ways to further improve our services.
1st Line Support (Helpdesk/Service desk)
As a Service Desk, they are Gerimedica's calling card. Our service desk is the first point of contact for our customers' application managers and superusers. An important role, because the sooner and better we can help our customers, the sooner they can focus again on what we all do it for: providing good care to the clients. Our support specialists have regular contact with our various customers and spend a majority of their time tackling customers’ questions and concerns.
2nd Line Technical Support
The Support department is the department where technical knowledge of Ysis is used to answer questions from customers. When customers have questions or experience problems, they report to the Service Desk. Is the question very specialist? Then a request comes to the second line and it's their turn. They ensure correct prioritisation and timely handling, and they maintain contact with the customer themselves.

Advisors
Our advisor's team is the main point of contact for our customers. These customers are care institutions in elderly care and care for people with intellectual disabilities. They use our treatment file (EPD) Ysis and also our new care file (Ysis ECD). Our goal is to ensure that healthcare professionals can focus more on their profession. Because our advisors know our customers through and through, they actively contribute to thinking about improvements and innovations in our software. Together we ensure that our software fits seamlessly with the daily practice of the user.
You will be part of a team of advisors, in which account managers and project managers work daily to contribute to our mission: to support healthcare professionals in providing the best possible care. The team consists of motivated and talented professionals who challenge each other to develop personally and as a team.
Account Managers
As an expert in the field of care and treatment in chronic care, our account managers are an important point of contact for all healthcare institutions that use Ysis, the multidisciplinary treatment file developed by GeriMedica. They are often on location at these institutions to advise on the use of Ysis. They provide training, give demos, supervise implementation projects and act as a source of information for the project leaders and users in the institution. The account managers work independently, both with customers and at the office in Amsterdam. They think along about improvements and innovations in our software to ensure that it fits seamlessly with the daily practice of the user. They also play an active role in the development and implementation of our newly developed care file!
Implementation Consultants
As an expert in the field of care and treatment in chronic care, you are an important point of contact for all healthcare institutions that use Ysis. You inspire and enthuse (new) customers to work with Ysis and get the most out of it. You know how to explain the value of Ysis well and you take that into account when setting up the application. You are often on location at healthcare institutions to advise on the use of Ysis. You supervise implementation projects, provide training and give demos. You are the source of information for the project leaders and users in the healthcare institution. You work independently, both with customers and at the office in Amsterdam. Our customers are located throughout the Netherlands, so traveling is part of the job. Finally: you think along about improvements and innovations in our software to ensure that it fits seamlessly with the daily practice of the user.

Gerimedica Inzicht
In Gerimedica Inzicht we invite you to help build the future of care for the elderly and mentally disabled in the Netherlands. Our software is used by healthcare professionals to access complete patient information, so they can optimise their work processes. On top of that, thanks to algorithms, AI and medical data, our users know and see more than ever before. Our data platform continuously maps the health of clients and provides this information back to the users of our EPD, namely doctors, paramedics and nurses, at the right time.
